This lovely late nineteenth century three board pine table top is about 1.25” thick and has two cleats attached to its underside to keep the top nice and flat. They are notched in order to sit steadily on the industrial base. The top shows all the signs of decades of use without being too gnarled. The base consists of two cast iron trestle ends with arched feet joined at the apex of the arch by a 2” diameter tubular stretcher. The trestle ends are set slightly splayed for stability during moderately heavy use.
