PRODUCT INFORMATION

Until well into the twentieth century this "kraut cutter" was an essential piece of central European kitchenalia.  A large cabbage is sliced in half, placed face down in the box which is passed back and forth across the five razor sharp blades which are set at an angle across the bed of the slicer.  Austria, circa 1870.
