Pine Chest of Five Drawers

Hand-made quarter round molding creates a bold step-down edge to the top of this handsome chest.  The top two drawers stand a little proud of the others, flanked by long pyramid appliqués.  The lower three drawers, all of the same depth have a broad flute and a hardwood flower and acanthus leaf corbel to their sides.   The form and proportions of this piece are most attractive The wood is clear and the color is outstanding, and has been hand-polished to a warm golden glow.
