Pine Chest of Four Drawers

What a beautiful chest of drawers!  Two scratches on the top are unfortunate but can be easily covered with a runner or other linen.  Otherwise the top is interesting with exposed dovetails and a step-down edge created by an applied quarter round molding.  The top drawer stands a little proud and is marginally deeper than the lower three, which are more or less equal.  The drawer fronts are trimmed with an ogee molding, creating the appearance of panels and the front corners bear hardwood split columns between elongated pyramid appliqués.
