This rather unusual and beautiful French curvilinear wrought iron washstand features a kidney-shaped surface with a beaded lip and gallery. This is supported by three serpentine legs ending in paw feet, joined by two iron rings and a lipped shelf 7” in diameter. In old worn and chipped sage green paint over earlier buttermilk and mustard, worn through to rusted metal.
The pale green enameled copper bowl is chipped but still waterproof. It sits nicely in the stand but is not original to the piece.
France, circa 1890
