Pine Two Door Armoire

Three tiers of moldings with a strip of quarter round gadrooning form the bold crown of this handsome armoire.  The frieze is bordered with an ogee and a plain bead.  The front corners are decorated with broad fluting and hand-carved hardwood acanthus leaf corbels.  The doors have a long flat panel above a short one, secured with prominent mullions.  There is a single shallow hand-cut dovetailed drawer in the base.  The interior has a retrofitted hat shelf and hanging pole and at 18.5” deep can accommodate a modern coat hanger.
