Pine Louis-Philippe Style Chest of Four Drawers

This lovely little chest of four graduated drawers has a beveled edge and rounded front corners to the top.  The case has softened front corners as does the ogee base molding.  The top drawer front stands proud of the case and has an ogee sweep to it, typical of the Louis-Philippe style.  The three lower drawers have flat fronts, are gently graduated in depth and have brass floral pulls.  All drawers have beautifully hand-cut dovetailed construction.  At some time and for some reason, a previous owner chose to paint the back green.  It cannot be seen when the piece is standing against a wall.  See image.  This is a great chest of drawers for a child’s room or guest room.
