Painted Pine Three Door Sideboard

Antique pine sideboards can be hard to find so our workshop in Europe takes good quality European yellow pine to build this piece using traditional design features and construction techniques.  In this case the sideboard base is hand-painted in black satin paint and rubbed through to the warm tones of the pine beneath, to simulate wear in the areas where it would naturally occur.  The top is finished in English paste wax.

This most versatile piece works well as a double vanity in the bathroom, as a base for a large screen TV, as well as a traditional storage and display sideboard. All drawers are nicely put together and all panels are real. No plywood or composites are used.
